Year 7 Activities

Table Tennis in the Year 7 Courtyard:

Do you know how the table tennis table came to be in the Year 7 courtyard?

Well, the class captains came together for a meeting about how they could improve the courtyard and after gathering votes from all the other classes came to an agreement that they should put a table tennis table in the courtyard. 

When the table was set in the courtyard, hundreds of year sevens flocked towards the new table to have a game with friends. Soon all around the school will have table tennis tables. 

The news quickly spread all around the school and the class captains decided to put them everywhere. Every lunchtime loads of Year 7’s go to the table tennis table to have a shot against friends.

AFL interschool sports year 7: 

On the 7th of June, 17 kids from year 7 all came together to play 3 games of good footy at 

Epping football ground for most of the day.  The kids got to the school nice and early to get their jumpers ready and warmed up for the big day.

Ms. White and Mr. Willoughby were the coaches we all started to walk to the ground at about 9:00 am and got there at about 9:15 am. When we got there, we all got our boots on and headed out for a kick and warmed up before our first match of the day.

It was a really enjoyable morning for all the students that turned up on the day even 

though it was a really tiring day everyone gave it their all. In our first game, we played Hazel Glen and we unfortunately lost. In our second game, we played Whittlesea, and we won our first game of the tournament. 

In the first half, it was a really close game with only one goal difference. Our goal kickers were Cooper and Jacob and in the second half, we kicked two more goals to zero. The goal kickers were Jhye and Levi at the end we won by one goal 24 to 30!! 

In the last game, we played Mernda Central and unfortunately, they beat us. 

The day was amazing and enjoyable for everyone that represented Epping Secondary College.
