1/2 Dream City Incursion

On Monday the 5th of June the 1/2s participated in a STEAM incursion run by DreamCity. This term the 1/2s have been taking part in weekly STEAM lessons which combines the subjects of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Maths into one innovative and creative subject. Students have also been learning about Digital Technologies in our Inquiry unit, specifically how to create algorithms and use coding to create animations on the Scratch Junior app on iPads. The incursion run by DreamCity was designed to further develop their knowledge and skills in these areas. During the incursion, the students participated in 3 different hands-on experiences each replicating possible careers of the future. 

The 3 activities included:

1. Virtual Reality
2. Robotics Engineering
3. Electronics Engineering

The students explored the power of science and technology and were inspired at the end of the day to want to learn more about these professions. A big thank you to DreamCity for coming to our school and running an awesome learning experience for the 1/2 students!
