Where’s the SOURCE? Library and Information Week, 31st July - 6th August

During Australian Library and Information Week, let's consider our sources. Libraries and their staff are excellent sources of information, guiding students and teachers. This week is a chance to focus on the importance of sources and how they contribute to our understanding. Libraries and their staff help us navigate the vast amount of information available, ensuring accuracy, understanding copyright laws, and promoting critical literacy skills. Sources come in many forms, each with the potential to enlighten and inspire curiosity. So, take advantage of the library's resources and expertise, explore different sources, ask the right questions, and deepen your understanding of the world.

Sources we use to research and often refer to at Heathmont College Library:

  • Echo Education
  • Google Arts and Culture
  • National Library of Australia, TROVE
  • School Library Association
  • Our different resources in the library; ebooks, printed books, maps, electronic devices, the library catalogues

And of course, the library staff and staff at Heathmont College.
