SPOTLIGHT - CELEBRATING OUR COMMUNITY ACHIEVEMENTS
Youth Summit “Melton Secondary students ‘changemakers’ for cultural awareness” at the University of Melbourne
On 18 July, our students had the opportunity to present on the topic of cultural awareness at the University of Melbourne, and were joined by the 18 secondary schools from across Victoria. Our students delivered an informative presentation on the importance of diversity and inclusion to the politicians and community leaders. The conference was well attended by the private and independent schools, with Melton Secondary College being the only government school from the western suburbs. Our students’ well conveyed message to the conference audiences was really admired, and the story was featured in the Melton Star Weekly on this link: https://meltonmoorabool.starweekly.com.au/news/melton-secondary-students-changemakers-for-cultural-awareness/
