What's Happening at CHPS

Performing Arts News
It’s that time of year again CHPS is gearing up for our annual variety concert, ‘Stagestruck’.
This year the theme is… Pop Stars! So if your child is interested, get them to start practising their performance of their favourite pop song, whether it’s singing, dancing or playing an instrument.
Auditions will be the second Tuesday (July 18th) and Thursday (July 20th) of Term 3. Tuesday will be Juniors and Middles and Thursday will be for Seniors due to clashes with sporting days. The Performance will be Thursday, September 7th at 7pm.

Library Update
Welcome back to school for Term 3. This term in the Library we have lots of new books making their way onto the shelves and we look forward to students borrowing and reading these. We have Book Week coming up this term in Week 7 (21 – 25 August), with lots of fun activities planned, including some great author visits. Keep an eye on Compass for details.
We will be reading several of The Children’s Book Council of Australia Book Awards shortlisted books during Library sessions this term. If you are interested in looking at these, you can do so at https://cbca.org.au/shortlist-2023.
We have also had a book returned to the Library that belongs to one of our families. It is titled The Unicorn Who Came to Breakfast, and it has Happy Birthday stickers on the front cover. If this book belongs to your household, please drop by the Library or send your child to collect it.
Thanks,
Jess Ward & Sue Offer in the Library
