Winter Solstice event

Our annual Winter Solstice event is to be held this Friday, the 16th of June. The children have been practising their performance and are very excited. We hope that you and your children can come to this fantastic event.

A timeline for the event is as follows:

5:30pm - 6:00pm -  children collect their lanterns from the foyer in the main building

6:00pm -  art show in the art room and JCB

6:15pm - children perform the Bunjil creation story.

6:30pm - children and families walk from the JCB to Middle Gully with lanterns

6:45pm - bonfire and food stalls.

Please note that parent supervision is required at all times.

We welcome home-made baked goods such as cakes, slices, biscuits, cupcakes or other treats for sale at the Winter Solstice. Gluten free and allergy-friendly sweets are welcome. If you would like to contribute, please deliver your goodies to the front office either on the day of the Winter Solstice, or the day before. Or alternatively, deliver directly to the eco shed at Middle Gully at pick up time on Friday 16th. Please name any containers, so we know who to give them back to after the event! Many thanks.

Please note, it is cash only. Small notes appreciated.

If you have some time and would like to help out either preparing pizzas for the event (any time between 3.30-5pm), or you would like to help out on the night (serving or washing up cups, pack up), please email the office macedon.ps@education.vic.edu.au.
