Junior School

What a fabulous time the Junior School had at Collingwood Children's farm at the end of last term! 

The students learnt about farm management, ecosystems, sustainability, crop plantations and animal husbandry. They participated in a discovery walk in the sensory garden, planted some seeds and interacted with a variety of livestock.

The students had a fantastic time discussing the life cycle of different types of animals and what products come from animals, such as food and fibres. In particular, many discussions were had about animals that live on a farm and how they differ from pets we may have in our homes.
