Spanish Report

Spanish Day

¡Hola!

I am happy to report that our very first Spanish Day was a complete success! I have had so much positive feedback from students and teachers and it was amazing to see such a big parent turnout for our parade!

I would like to thank everyone who made the day fantastic! Firstly to the junior school students who did a fantastic job of performing in front of so many people. The junior school teachers were also very helpful organising students on the day, not to mention doing extra rehearsals in their classrooms leading up to the day. ¡Bien hecho!

Thank you to Simone Smith, our wellbeing coordinator, for organising the parent morning tea and making the staff room look very festive for the day.

To all the parents for doing such a great job finding costumes and dressing the children in the colours of their country’s flag! The school lit up on the day and it really created a festive atmosphere. Such a fantastic effort!

Most of all, I’d like to thank my hard working partner, Señorita Sonn, who organised most of the classroom activities that day and has worked as hard as I have to ensure our Spanish Day ran smoothly and that our students had a fantastic time! ¡Muchas gracias!

We are now looking forward to a well-deserved break and can’t wait to come back in Term 4 to introduce our students to their final units of Spanish for 2017.

¡Que viva el español!
