Statement of intention:
"My song is directed at the issue of gender inequality and the suffering of millions of women around the globe. This song is aiming to hopefully provide some insight into the suffering and grief that sadly happens daily worldwide, and empower those women who are unable to seek help and feel that they are alone." Sisters by Isabel Ellis
Our crowns, they shine bright
In our towers of hope
Our songs and our cries
Bring the sun to its knees every night
We may fall seven times
But we’ll stand up eight
And we’ll stand together
As sisters, as friends.
You can’t bring us down
Because we are rising
And we’re so much stronger
When we’ve got each other
And we’ve all got crowns
Yeah, the future is female
And we’re ready to shine
Shine brighter than the sun
The flowers keep blooming
Despite all the darkness
Bringing the sun out
Making the stars shine bright
We are the flowers
And we will bring the sun
And we will soar
Higher than the clouds
You can’t bring us down
Because we are rising
And we’re so much stronger
When we’ve got each other
And we’ve all got crowns
Yeah, the future is female
And we’re ready to shine
Shine brighter than the sun
The glass is stained red
The oceans are crying
For the people who were silenced
Who were taken away
We cry for our sisters
Who hurt and weep as well
Underneath the soil
And up in the clouds
You can’t bring us down
Because we are rising
And we’re so much stronger
When we’ve got each other
And we’ve all got crowns
Yeah, the future is female
And we’re ready to shine
Shine brighter than the sun
You can’t bring us down
Because we are rising
And we’re so much stronger
When we’ve got each other
And we’ve all got crowns
Yeah, the future is female
And we’re ready to shine
Shine brighter than the sun
And we’ve all got crowns
You can’t bring us down
And we’ve all got crowns
You can’t bring us down
You can’t bring us down
