Year 7

The end of the year is here already! Transitioning from Primary to Secondary school is no easy task but our students have managed to overcome many obstacles to have a successful year. Building relationships early on our Year 7 Camp, attending the Athletics carnival and cheering on their new House colours, representing the school at interschool sports and plenty more. We look forward to seeing them mentor our next cohort of Year 7 students in 2020, helping them through the many obstacles and challenges they faced this year.

Year 8

Well done to all our year 8 students on completing their Junior school years. The skills they have developed over their past two years will only help them as they navigate their way through Middle School. What an exciting time ahead in Year 9 as they begin their subject electives and start to decide what path their future will take.

The Year 8 students have just completed their STEM week activity of creating their own Theme Parks. The students needed to design their theme parks as a class and then bring their designs to life using materials gathered over the last few weeks. It was amazing to see such imagination and creativity in their Theme Park rides built with only cardboard, egg cartons, paper rolls, skewers and held together by tape and glue. Congratulations to 8F who ended up winning the week with their well designed and climate friendly theme park.

Junior School

All Junior School students have just completed the swimming program at Kardinia Pool. Students showed great resilience as the weather tried its best to bring them down. A very enjoyable week for all involved. It is fantastic to see how much our students grow during such a short amount of time with their confidence in the water, stroke development and ability to help in different water safety scenarios. We would like to thank all the staff involved and an extra big thank you to Mrs Marendaz for organising the week.

For the first time we held a Junior School Awards Session. This was to recognise the special efforts that some of our students have displayed throughout the year. The afternoon was to acknowledge students in an array of different areas focusing on the schools values. Below are the list of award winners:
