Road Safety
Our PDHPE faculty has recently received a grant to implement road safety across the school. Our senior students will be working with our primary classes to teach road safety using the recently created bike course during lunchtimes. Our PASS students have been creating the course with the help of our maintenance team Dean and John. A big thank you to Echuca On Your Bike for donating some small bikes!
On Thursday morning our Year 10 PDHPE students took a lesson on Road Safety with our Year 2 students. The lessons form part of the Year 10 students assessment on Road Safety. The other Year 10 classes will be teaching Year 1 and Kinder next week!

Farewell
We have recently farewelled our highly regarded Business Manager of 10 years, Mrs Jenny Martin. Jenny and Don are relocating to the hills to try their hand at farming and we wish them every success in their new venture.
Prior to being formally employed in 2007, Jenny was regularly seen around the fledgling school as a volunteer, Foundation Parent and Board Member. She has always upheld our School Core Values and has earned enormous respect in and around our school community.
Jenny’s devotion and commitment to building this school “from the ground up” has been evident in every facet of our School. She has been heavily involved from our beginnings at the original Martin Street temporary site, overseeing each purchase of equipment and the development of each building on our current Kirchhofer Street campus. Everything has been subject to and benefitted from Jenny’s careful scrutiny and detailed planning.
Jenny’s dedication to her tasks over these 10 years has contributed to our School becoming an absolute asset for Echuca-Moama, employing over 90 staff and our district children have the opportunity to attend an excellent school.
Congratulations on a job well done!
Welcome to Our Team
Brett Burdeu - Business Manager
Primary: Nunawading South Primary School
Secondary: Kings Wood College Box Hill
Tertiary: Bachelor of Commerce, University of Melbourne
I am thrilled to have joined the team here at Moama Anglican Grammar School. My wife Shannon and I have relocated to Bendigo from Melbourne (via Perth for 5 1/2 years) with our 21 month old twin daughters Eden and Ivy to be closer to Shan’s family who all reside in the area. I have a varied financial background spending time at Ford Motor Company, KPMG and Deloitte. Having had an independent school education at Kingswood College in Melbourne it is exciting to get back involved in the independent education sector as I am a strong advocate for the benefits that it provides.
When not chasing the girls around the house (or anywhere we happen to be!) I love my footy (frustrated Melbourne FC tragic and Brownlow medallist in my own mind) cricket (Shane Warne wannabe) and horse racing (poor but sensible mug punter). In other rare moments I also enjoy sitting down with a good book and a nice glass of red.
Fun Fact: I had open heart surgery to correct a hole in my heart when I was 16. Shan is adamant that it wasn’t completely healed until we met!
