Principal's Report

Dear Families & Carers,

We are quickly approaching one of the best weeks in the calendar year with Book Week just around the corner. Next week, Our Lady's will celebrate all things books. Our Book Week Parade will be held on Friday the 25th of August at 9am. We encourage all students to dress up as their favourite book character on this day. Book Week is such a fun and memorable way to celebrate books.

Throughout the week, our Book Fair will be set up ready for purchases before school 8.30am - 8.55am and each afternoon from 2.45pm - 3.15pm. If you would like to come in and view the shop, please sign in at the office. We will direct you to our Book Fair from there. The Book Fair will be supported by our wonderful parent volunteers. If you are wishing to volunteer at the school, you do require a Working with Children Check.

During our Assembly on Monday we celebrated our 'Student of the Week' for each classroom. Congratulations to the following students;

Foundation: Deegan

Grade 1/2NH: Lyncoln

Grade 3/4WY: Harry

Grade 4/5G: Isaiah

Grade 5/6G: Millie

The weather is now becoming sunnier which is a great reminder that hats are now beginning to be required. As a Sun Smart school, hats are not just required in Term 1 & Term 4. Any day when the UV rays reach above a certain level, hats are required. Over the next two weeks we will remind students that hats are now required on some days and at some break times.

Existing families please note - if you have a child starting Foundation in 2024 please submit your paperwork to us as soon as you can. If you don't have any forms yet, please give us a call and we will organise them for you.

Blessings,

Cassie Lynch
