3/4MG - Learning

In Year 34MG we have been extending our fractional knowledge over the last two weeks.

We had fun working with a partner, exploring the school buildings and playground to discover and then photograph fractions we could find in our environment. Here are some examples of what we found. 

Vy and Casey found quarters,   Aidan and Marco found thirds,   Vinhson and Humphrey found halves.

We followed directions on a video to make a personal fraction wall to help us understand that many fractions can make up a whole number.

We enjoyed using concrete materials and games to help us to develop our understanding of fractions - proper, improper and mixed numbers.
