Sweet Desires students have continued to investigate and produce an assortment of sweet products. After looking at different types of sugar, students used their knowledge to produce Chewy Chocolate Chip Biscuits.
Last week students made a sweet dough for Cinnamon Rolls. There were many willing taste testers as all students produced their rolls to a high standard. This week students used the food processor to prepare a Shortcrust pastry which they then used to design and produce their own Apple and Cinnamon Turnover.
Students in Food Technology elective have continued to use different methods of cooking to prepare a range of dishes which has included Chicken Risotto, Popcorn Chicken with Sweet Potato Wedges, and Mini Quiches. Students have had the opportunity to develop their knowledge and understanding of the functional properties of different ingredients which they will continue to investigate throughout the term. It has been wonderful to see students give themselves the opportunity to develop their palate with new and interesting flavours through the production of their dishes.
