ST VINNIES WINTER APPEAL
In the last week of Term 2 students from our Year 6 Social Justice group organised our school’s Winter Appeal for St Vinnies. Families very generously donated a range of non perishable items including canned and dried food and toiletry products. The students also organised a casual clothes day, where pupils could ditch their uniform for a day by making a gold coin donation. This initiative raised over $600. Members of our local St Vincent De Paul (pictured below) were very pleased to receive these donations and will pass them onto those in need of assistance, in the Wyndham area. Also pictured are students from our Social Justice Group with a certificate of appreciation we received from The St Vincent de Paul Society.
TERM 3 INFORM AND EMPOWER PROGRAM
Students are once again working with our Cyber Safety experts Carly and Marty from Inform and Empower. Parents who attended one of our Cyber Safety workshops back in February will remember that as part of the program, students attend some online workshops each term.
A crucial part of the program is the “Parent & Carer Tip Sheet” that comes out every term. This information enables parents to have conversations at home about the cyber topics covered at school this term.
