Education Support Trainees

Each year Concord School hosts Education Support Trainees through AGA Apprenticeships Plus.  Trainees complete a 12 month placement with us.  During this time their classroom based education support skills are developed through the day to day experience of working with our students, along with the training and guidance of our teachers and our education support staff.  Across schools, Concord School has a reputation of providing quality training; most of our trainees are successful in applying for Education Support work.

On Friday 12th May, I had the pleasure of attending the AGA Apprenticeships Plus Graduation and Awards night at which Tim Arnold received two awards.  Tim was beaming with pride when he was presented with the Best in Health, Education & Disability Award and the Best Overall Trainee Award.  Tim was a trainee with us in Secondary 7-8 during 2015 and 2016.

Tim is now enjoying his full time Education Support role at Roxburgh Rise Primary School, where he supports a number of students in prep through to grade 6.   Congratulations to Tim!

Attitudes to School Survey

Concord School is conducting a survey to find out what your child thinks of our school. The Attitudes to School survey is an annual student survey offered by the Department of Education and Training. The survey assists schools in gaining an understanding of students' perceptions and experience of school.

Concord School values student voice and will use the survey results to plan programs and activities to improve your child's schooling experience.

This year the Attitudes to School survey will be conducted at our school between Monday 22nd May to Friday 9th June.  Students from Year 7 to Year 12 at our school will participate in the survey. Your child will complete the survey online during school hours using a purpose built secure online survey tool.

Your child’s privacy and the confidentiality of your child’s survey responses will be protected at all times. No identifiable personal data is included in the survey response file.

The survey results will be reported back to the school in Term 3.  The survey results will be communicated to parents through the Annual Report to the School Community.
