The 2016 Presentation Ball   -  Should I do it?

Wantirna College, in conjunction with the Parents Association, is delighted to offer our Year 11 2016 students the opportunity to participate in the Annual Presentation Ball to be held on Friday 22nd July 2016 and, if required, Saturday 23rd July 2016.

The Presentation Ball gives all those involved the opportunity to socialise in a non-threatening environment.  It is about having fun and learning how to conduct oneself in a more formal environment.  It enables participants to establish and further develop friendships and friendship groups. 

It is an introduction to dancing and etiquette in a formal setting that teaches behaviours which are transferable to any number of social occasions and future business life.  It provides the setting that allows our young men and women to not only dress up, but to learn the behaviours which go hand in hand with such a presentation

We believe it is an opportunity for every student to shine regardless of how reserved or outgoing, and is a great confidence builder for all involved

Presentation Ball Handbooks are available from the General Office and we believe we have covered all aspects of the evening in the booklet.  First payments and contracts (that is within the book) are due back by 17th February.  For any further enquiries please contact Tanya MacKenzie, Secretary to Sue Bell, on 9801 9700 or tm@wantirnacollege.vic.edu.au

Pre Loved Presentation Ball Dress

Are you considering selling your dress at the 2016 Pre-Loved Presentation Ball Dress Sale?

If so, you need to start to plan NOW.  Our Dress sale is on Saturday 27th February 2016.

If you are a Wantirna College student or an ex-student we are happy to try and sell your Presentation Ball Dress for you.

Firstly, you will need get your dress dry-cleaned (make sure you keep the receipt), and have any repairs done if necessary.   Dresses that have no evidence of dry-cleaning will not be accepted for sale.

Next you need to send the details of the dress, including :

• Size
• Style
• Description
• Selling price - Please remember people want to buy a second hand dress because it is cheaper than a new one. To optimise your chance of selling your dress your maximum price should be about half your original purchase price.
• Photos of the dress - Make sure you are actually in it because it will make the dress more appealing.  Photos will be edited so you will not be identified.

Once the information is received it will be used to advertise your dress on the Private Facebook page that only 2016 female Presentees will have access to.

Please send all this information to Tanya at tm@wantirnacollege.vic.edu.au by the first day of school 2016 ie. 28th January 2016.

On receipt of the information Tanya will forward a Sales contract and drop off and pick up details. 

There is a flat rate of $10.00 to include your dress in the sale.  This is payable regardless of your dress selling or not.
