End of Year Issues
Junior Campus:
There are still some very important weeks and incredibly important learning processes to go, but we are nearing the end of the 2016 school year. In terms of the library, there are a number of things that need to occur so that we are ready to go for 2017!
Firstly, all Junior Campus books need to be returned before the end of November so that we can stock take. It is our goal to have all items returned and no families charged for replacement. You can assist us by ensuring that your children check all the likely places: under their bed, on their bookshelf, in the car, in the family room and bring us the school books that they find. We will ensure that a number of current loans notices are sent home in order to assist with this process.
Another likely place for your child to have put a book, if not at home, is their classroom. It is always worth asking us to check their classroom and our shelves – some helpful children put their books straight back without us knowing.
Year 5 students may return books at either campus given that they have been borrowing from both.
Senior Campus:
Senior Campus students may borrow over the holidays but must ensure that all books on loan are valid until the start of next year. Text books from the Year 6 multiple copy section, Geography at Years 7 and 8 and History at Year 10 will be charged for if not returned by the end of the relevant examination period. Laptop chargers borrowed by students in Years 9 – 11 also need to return to their storage spaces.
Exam help:
Lots of resources are available in the Library for examination preparation: flash cards, mind maps and help with organising folders are all here to assist our students prepare for their examinations.
Academic Assistance:
Please be advised that Academic Assistance runs only four days a week: Monday to Thursday. The College does not roster teachers for Friday nights. A couple of younger students have appeared at the door on the last few Fridays and we have had to contact parents about collecting them.
