Principal's Report

Today, I was privileged to attend the Myrniong Swimming Carnival. It was a perfect summer day and as I drove closer to the Hamilton Olympic Pool, I could hear all four houses cheering loudly. Our swimmers achieved many impressive results and I congratulate Laidlaw on their ultimate success.
Significantly, the most memorable aspect of the day was the house spirit on display. It was quite exceptional and created a sense of unity, pride and purpose amongst everyone present. It was pastoral care at its best!
Whether you support Laidlaw, Berry, Learmonth or Young you had to be proud of our children’s efforts. This same sense of collegiality excitingly exists in the senior school but our junior school first nurtures the genuine appreciation and understanding for the merits of the House system. Thank you Ms Hampson and Myrniong staff for all your leadership and enthusiasm. It makes a real difference.
