Confused about student concession cards?

Here’s what you need to know:

Full-time secondary school students up to 18 years of age can travel daily on a student pass (ie child myki).

Students aged 17 and 18 must carry proof of age ID when travelling and present it on request; likewise, younger students purchasing a half-yearly ($317) or yearly ($607) student pass. This gives them unlimited travel on all train, tram and bus services within their chosen zones until the expiry of the pass, which is the date of purchase until 31 July 2019 [first half], 29 February 2020 [second half] or 29 February 2020 [year].

In 2019 the Preshil student ID cards will be PTV approved, which means that Public Transport Victoria will accept our cards as proof of entitlement to access concession fares or to buy a student pass.

These cards will be available from Compass approximately mid-March. In the meantime, the existing PTV School Student ID and Student Pass process is still available (at a cost of $9) and forms can be collected from the office.

Construction site

Thank you to the many students, parents and staff who are accessing the secondary campus by means other than the back gate off Daniell Place. We apologise for this temporary inconvenience. Construction of sports and maintenance storage sheds as well as new fencing is progressing well and should be completed in the next two weeks.
