Northern Metropolitan Region - Swimming

On Wednesday 28 March, 42 students participated in the Northern Metropolitan Regional Swimming Carnival at WaterMarc in Greensborough.  Aitken College finished in a record high 6th position out of 28 schools by entering 15 individual events and 14 relay events. The competition was very strong with numerous students just missing out on a spot at the State Finals.

Aitken won the boys 17 year old freestyle relay team and participated in the State Finals on Wednesday 18 April at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre. Special mentions go to the following individual medal winners:

  • Sebastian M (13 year boys) - 2nd place in 50m Butterfly and 3rd place in 50m Freestyle
  • Hamish H (17 year boys) - 2nd place in 50m Breaststroke

Big thank you to Mrs Pocervina and Mr Taylor for their help on the day.
