Classroom News - Year 6

Welcome to Year 6 2020

Year 6 have made a flying start to the year by identifying goals they want to work towards this term. We have spent time discussing and agreeing to the expectations we will be holding each other to throughout the year.

In the second week, we have been conducting our initial assessments to see where everyone is at after holidays that were filled with a lot of fun in the sun. Students have shown their growing maturity by quickly adjusting  back into their school routines and we are all looking forward to our year ahead.

Welcome BBQ

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at the Welcome BBQ next Thursday, 13th February.  Bring a picnic rug and catch up with families old and new.

Maths: Our first unit will focus on concepts to with number.

Science: We have begun our science unit with a brainstorm on what students already know about earthquakes.

PDHPE (Health): At this time of year we focus on positive mindsets and the different Zones of Regulation which affect our behaviour and our interactions with others.
