Classroom News - Year 4

Welcome to Year 4, 2020!

Our year has begun. A big welcome to our new families and also to our returning families, new to Year 4!

The children are settling in well and have already developed friendship networks in both classes. We are spending time creating our classroom processes and expectations, focusing on creating a learning environment where everyone feels safe, valued and motivated to engage in all experiences with enthusiasm and understanding.  

Thank you for equipping your children with their classroom materials. It's very exciting to have new pencils and textas, rubbers and rulers to use. Thank you also for the great supply of tissues and hand-wipes. These come in very handy throughout the year. Please make sure that all belongings are named, including drink bottles and food containers (these often remain in the classroom, even after a reminder to collect).

Year 4 students are asked to wear their sports uniform on Wednesday (yellow) and Friday (coloured - white, red, green or blue). 

Our Opening School Mass will be held on Wednesday 12th, at 12:30. Please feel welcome to share this special Mass with us. O'Connor Catholic High School will be attending as well. The Mass is a very special way that we celebrate the beginning of our year together.

We look forward to meeting as many of you as possible next Tuesday night at the Parent Information meeting and also at the Welcome BBQ on Thursday. Our journey together is just beginning!
