School Swimming Carnival Results
It was great to see our students competing at the school swimming carnival. It is one of our first steps in school to getting back to normality and I know a lot of the children were very excited about having the chance to compete and support their Houses. Final House Points were as follows: 1st Pauls 323, 2nd Marks 318, 3rd Leos 304 & 4th Johns 243. Hopefully, parents will soon be able to attend these events again! Congratulations to our 2022 Age Champions and Runners-up.

Diocesan Swimming Carnival
Good luck to our school team who are attending the Diocesan Swimming Trials in Gunnedah on Thursday. The Gunnedah Memorial Swimming Pool is located on Anzac Parade in Gunnedah. The carnival will start at 8:30am sharp. All students must be there by 7:45am and report to Mrs de Gunst to have their names marked off. A warm-up is available from 8:00-8:15am. One spectator per competitor will be able to attend the Carnival. Masks are highly recommended but optional for competitors. Pool entry is $3.50 for children and $1.50 for adult spectators. Students should bring a hat, water, sunscreen, swimming gear and a healthy lunch. A canteen & BBQ will be operating on the day. Students should be in full school sports uniform – no Diocesan clothing is to be worn. The children may wear thongs instead of joggers if they wish.
Diocesan Touch Trials
Students in Year 6 have been trialling for Diocesan individual Touch Trials with Mr Baz and Mrs Lane. Unfortunately, this is not for a school team and only a limited amount of competitors can be chosen to attend. Students who have been successful will receive notes this week.
Primary Sport
As part of their sports program in Term 1, children in Year 3-6 will have the opportunity to attend sessions externally at various centres around the town. Students will participate in either Ten Pin ($8), Indoor Sports ($4) or King Fit ($3.50) in between rotating around school sport each week for the next 6 weeks. This week 4D will go to King Fit, 5G Ten Pin and 6LW will go to the Indoor Sports Centre.
Your child will be notified by their classroom teacher when it is their turn to attend. Please make sure all notes to give your child permission to attend these activities for the term have been returned.

School Sport
School sport will begin this week in a rotation of different sports and games each week until further notice. Students are reminded to bring a hat, water bottle and apply sunscreen.
