Congratulations to the St Mary’s Senior AFL side who competed in the School Boys Cup early this month. The boys represented the College with great pride and supported each other on the field with skill.

The team finished 2nd in Pool A after good wins over Smithfield High (8-8-56 vs 0-0-0) and Redlynch State College (7-10-52 vs 1-1-7) and a loss to Cairns High (1-2-8 vs 6-2-38).

The semi-final was played against Saints who started strongly. The boys composed themselves in the second half to make good inroads into the deficit but time was always the biggest enemy. The final score was St Mary’s (3-2-20) vs Saints (5-4-34).
