Deputy Principal 

Next Friday is a student free day, with Term 2 concluding on Thursday July 1. 

On Friday, the staff will be gathering for some professional development and discussion about student pastoral care and behaviour formation. We will be examining what our College values look like in action, and discussing our current behaviour response strategies. I expect we will resolve to update some of these processes and I will keep the community informed about any changes that are proposed.

I thank the Student Voice Congress who have already provided some excellent input into this conversation. I will meet with them again next week to hear their views about how we can best support them to learn, and how they would like us to respond when they get it wrong.

Reports

Semester One reports will be issued at the end of Term and our Parent Student Teacher Conferences will be on Monday July 19. Please do see this as an opportunity to take stock and work with your son and his teachers to set some achievable and aspirational goals for learning and behaviour in the second half of the year. The boys do not always choose to attend these conferences, however they provide an excellent chance to speak frankly with teachers and get to the heart of what is needed for success.

Mid-Year Break

I would like to thank all in the community for a very successful first semester and for the tireless work and commitment of those who keep our College ticking. I hope that everyone is able to have a restful and restorative break enjoying some family time and some fresh air! Thank you.
