Principal Post
Dear Families,
I hope that despite all the restrictions with COVID that you have found time as a family to watch and enjoy some of the amazing events or highlights from the Olympics! What incredible performances from athletes and teams world wide!!
Today is the Feast Day of St John Vianney! Born in the French town of Dardilly in 1876 his childhood was marked by troubled times of the French revolution. It was a dangerous times for religious people and many priests were forced into hiding. St John Vianney was deeply touched by the courage of these priests. In 1818 he became a priest of the small village of Ars which he made a model parish. He was dedicated to his parishioners. At his funeral in 1859, it was reported that over 6000 people and 300 priests attended. He was canonized in 1925 and is the Patron Saint of priests.
We were to celebrate our Patron Saint on Monday and gather for our planned Liturgy followed by Tabloid Sports/ Morning Tea. We have deferred this celebration to later this term.

Congratulations to the small group of students who last weekend made their First Communion.
