Final Update for Term 2

Dance

Congratulations to our Dance 1 and 2 ensembles who participated in the Sydney North Public Schools Dance Festival last Friday 18 June. Unfortunately, there was no live audience, however the performances were filmed and will be shown all together in a cinematic experience later in August. Dance 1 performed Picnic at Hanging Rock, choreographed by Emma B, and Dance 2 performed Journey, choreographed by Year 10 student Alyssa L. Both groups had the opportunity to rehearse their performances, before receiving feedback from a guest dance teacher. They performed twice for the cameras to film their dances and performed beautifully. We can't wait to see the final product later this year. 

Stage Band 

Congratulations to our Stage Band 2, directed by Bob Coassin, for participating in the Northern Beaches Instrumental Festival at Harbord Public School last Sunday 20 June. This festival included various primary schools and Lindfield East Primary School performed in our session. Stage Band 2 played exceptionally and students thoroughly enjoyed the experience. They performed 3 pieces: The Jazz Police, Don't You Worry 'Bout A Thing and Mambo Swing. After their performance, they completed a short workshop run by the appraiser, giving positive feedback of the sophisticated performance. 

​Well done to all our amazing musicians and dancers for all their hard work and effort this term and we can't wait to see everyone next term for more exciting performances and opportunities.
