Chess

Congratulations to all who participated in the Sydney Academy of Chess online tournament for the Northern District in Term 1 2021. Overall, Killara High School achieved 3rd place and two of our Year 9 students received trophies for their outstanding results.

Netball

Over the June long weekend, Jodie C, Fran G and I (Claudia R) competed in the Netball NSW Hart Senior State Titles. The competition holds teams in 4 different divisions across 3 age groups, adding to a total of 180 teams spread across 2 locations. Both of our teams played amazingly over the 19 games. 

The under 15s came forth overall after impressively fighting for first during both days. The under 17s placed sixth after a couple of close games, adding together to 3 draws and 2 games lost by 1 point.

Overall, both teams fought extremely hard over a tough 3 days and we are all very happy with the results.
