Prep

Welcome Back!

It was so nice to be greeted by so many happy faces on Monday morning. The preps had many exciting stories to tell me about their break. From visits to the park, the movies, nights away and visiting family. Everyone has come back rested and ready for another fantastic term. 

Literacy

We began the week off by drawing a picture of something we did on the holidays. Some of the preps even had a go at writing a sentence! We have also been learning about the letters j and b. I have been so impressed with how much the preps have remembered after their break. 

Maths

This week we learning about 'teen' numbers. We have been using tens frames to represent the numbers and learning how to write them. We know how important it is to write the numbers in the correct order - 19 is very different to 91! The preps played some partner games to revise some of the concepts we worked on last term. 

NAIDOC Week

To commemorate NAIDOC week we have been learning about Indigenous People and their culture. We have learnt about important Aboriginal flags, read stories and prayers, looked at Indigenous art and sang songs celebrating Aboriginal culture.
