Buddy Reading

On Thursday mornings we have implemented a Year 3 and 4 Reading Buddy Program with our onsite Kindy.

On Thursday 16/5  10 students went over to our Kindy to read with a small group of Kindy students, in this time it builds confidence for the Year 3 and 4 students.  We ask the older students to "Strive for 5" (asking 5 questions and building conversations). Students enjoy being the “teacher” with the Kindy students and building strong connections for the start of their schooling life.

In a few weeks we will introduce this program with our Year 2 Reading students and believe this program will be an ongoing connecting relationship with the Kindy and the school.
