REPORTS

While we are having our Friday Fun Day today our teachers are working on our Semester 1 reports. This semester’s reports will be very different from our normal reporting process.

The Department of Education has adjusted the expectations for student reports in recognition of the fact that we been learning remotely.

More detailed information will be provided via Compass in the next few weeks.

We hope you understand and acknowledge the hard work of the teaching staff as they write reports that acknowledge the students efforts during remote learning.

ICAS

At this stage we are still planning to offer ICAS testing for 2020.  In light of our transition to remote learning and our now our transition back to school we have put the plans for ICAS on hold.  ICAS testing is a little later this year than it has been in the past - later in Term 3.  Information regarding what tests are being offered to each year level and payments will be shared with parents early Term 3.  As per previous years ICAS testing will be offered to students in Years 2-6.

PREMIERS READING CHALLENGE

During our remote learning period many of our students have been logging books they have been reading onto the Premiers Reading Challenge site.

Congratulations to the 92 students who have completed the Challenge already.  This represents 13% of our students.  Our Year 4 students are leading the way this year with 23 of them already completed. Congratulations Year 4.

To date, our students have read 7569 books!

If you are unsure about how to log books onto the Challenge website please contact one of the Premiers Reading Challenge team
