Another great day of cricket for Week 4 of the Year 7&8 Cricket Development programme with games at Hutchins and SVC.

SVC Blue 4-89 defeated Hutchins 3-88 (Luca Di Venuto 20 ret. Fletcher Horne 19 ret. Cohen Macey 1-4)

SVC Gold 6-105 defeated Hutchins 8-102 Riley Browne 18no, Blake Garrett 15 ret. & 3-10,

SVC White 3-131 (Hunter Kamaric 12 ret. Riley Drew 15 Ret. & 3-8, Riley Davie 32 ret. Emerson Jones 12, Josh Williams 14) defeated SVC Green 8-114 (Henry Reason 43, Archer Tully 17 ret, Oliver Rhodes 15, Will Richmond 10 ret.)

 

Congratulations to boys who finished in the placegetters list for the CTPL Rodwell and Fazackerley Medal evening this week:

Charlie Cockshutt - 3rd in Under 15 Boys Player of the Year and Under 15 batting average - 431 runs @47.89 

 

A number of Old Virgilians were also recognised most notably Caleb Jewell as Captain of the CTPL Team of the Year and Enrico Di Venuto who was inducted into the CTPL Hall of Fame. 

 

Rowing 

Congratulations to Old Virgilian's Angus Paynter and Jarrod Connelly for their results at the National Rowing Championships at Lake Barrington.

Angus won a bronze medal in the Under 19 Men's Coxless Pair and Jarrod placed 5th in the B Final of the Under 19 Men's Single Scull.

 

Swimming 

 

Well done to Team SVC as they wrapped up the inter-school swimming season at the State SATIS Carnival on Tuesday. The team displayed a fantastic attitude and great teamwork  finishing a credible 6th place in the Junior Boys' Shield.
