Banyule Council update 

As you may be aware, Banyule Council conducted a consultation to determine the community’s order of preference on the delivery of pedestrian and traffic improvement projects around Montmorency South Primary School. 

The feedback received from the residents indicated community support on the following proposed projects: 

• footpath and indented parking on Buena Vista Drive 
• crossing point on Buena Vista Drive 
• footpath on north side of Buena Vista Drive.

Queries were raised during the consultation with regards to the position of the proposed footpath. Considering the site constraints, including multiple large trees which are located on the nature strip on the south side, the north side is the more feasible option

Council are conducting a drop-in session for the affected residents, in Buena Vista Drive in front of Montmorency South Primary School on Wednesday 31 March 2021, 4.30pm to 5.30pm. Council officers from the Transport department along with Councillor Alison Champion will be in attendance. You are welcome to attend and provide feedback on the proposed projects.
