VCE Unit 3 Recital

As part of their coursework, our talented students undertaking the Unit 3 Music Performance Coursework will present part of their program on Tuesday 25 May at 7 pm in the Orchestra Room (Music Centre). 

They will be assessed by Mr Roland Yeung, who is the Past Chief Assessor for Solo Performance (VCAA). He will also provide the students with invaluable feedback. 

Our VCE Music Performance Course has attracted 6 students this year. This is a fine number of students who wish to follow their passion to excel in music. 

Middle and Senior School Concert

We are fortunate to be able to host concerts again at school. To begin our first concerts we will hold a small concert for students (by invitation only) who are currently learning an instrument at Huntingtower. This concert will be held on Monday 24 May, starting at 7 pm in the Orchestra Room (Music Centre).

Our priority is to include as many of our talented music students as possible and we are hopeful for more concerts in Semester 2. 

Ensemble News

A big thank you to all the students who participate in all our small and large ensembles and choirs. I am always amazed by the dedication of our students who are willing to learn and enjoy playing in our orchestras, concert band, guitar ensemble, percussion ensemble, string ensembles and various choirs. 

Well done to every student and also to the parents for driving our young musicians to school during these cold mornings.

Annual Music Concert

All our ensembles and choirs will be joining forces to showcase their work in our annual music concert. This year we will be performing our concert at the Robert Blackwood Hall (Monash University). Please mark the date: Tuesday 10 August. 

We are very excited to hold our first large ensembles concert and hope you can join us to celebrate music at Huntingtower.
