Principal’s Message

Mr Nick Baird

Dear Parents and Carers,

We had an action packed week last week with the highlight being our trip to Gunnedah to compete in the Gunnedah Eisteddfod. Our choir and small group performers did an amazing job and they were rewarded with some wonderful results and feedback from the adjudicator. A massive thank you to Mrs Rosie Sims for the hours of tireless work that went into preparing our students for the event. For those parents that were not able to make it, or if you'd love to see the acts again, this Wednesday at 11.30am we will be doing it all again at our Eisteddfod Concert here at school. All families and friends are welcome to come along and enjoy our musical talents. We will also record the performances if you cannot make it this week and will happily send a copy to families if requested. See the poster below for further details of the concert.

Thank you to those parents able to join us today for the Uniform Meeting. It was a good opportunity to discuss the proposal put forward by the PTF in regards to adding pants to the girls winter uniform and to have a look at the Uniform Policy which has not been changed in many years. Following the consultation today, a survey will be sent home to families in the near future asking for your opinion in regards to the proposed changes.

The Term 2 School Fees are due at the end of this week. If you need support in meeting your fee obligations, please do not hesitate to make contact with me to arrange a confidential conversation. The education of your child is far more important than the payment of school fees and we will assist any family who are concerned about the financial impact of paying school fees.

Below is an excerpt from the 2021 Parent Handbook in regards to contacting school staff;

Making Contact with Staff

For anything regarding school matters:

The best times to make contact with the school are between 8:30am – 3:30pm (Monday to Thursday) 8:30am – 3:00pm (Friday). When the Office is unattended an answering machine is on and your call will be returned as soon as possible. Parents are asked not to send bus pick-up information via email as the administration staff may not receive this in time. Contact the school via phone call if there is a change of pick-up arrangements.

Staff can be contacted via their school email address;
