Year 7s settle in on Camp
Helping each other on the Initiatives course
Despite a few days of rain the Year 7s and their teachers enjoyed their 3 day camp to Phillip Island during Weeks 1&2. It is an important part of the transition process for our Year 7s, as it helps them to make new friends and bond with their cohort. This is what some of the participants had to say:
"I really liked camp because of the activities. The giant swing was good because it was a little bit scary but made you feel good after."
" It was great to see everyone around camp and get to know them better especially the people in our cabin."
"I think all together camp was a great experience. As I'm sure others will say, the giant swing was definitely one of my highlights of the trip. The adrenalin and the feeling of gliding through the air was a brilliant activity."
"During this camp I really got to know many other people that I never thought I'd never meet. I made many new friends on the exciting experience but I also learnt a heap of new things about my cabin mates which was great."
