Walk to School Week 2022
Monday 17th October - Friday 21st October
Walk to School Week for 2022 will begin this Monday 17th October. If your child would like to participate they can meet at Belfour Park Trafalgar for a fun walk to school to get the day started. A member of the Principal Team will be at Balfour Part to meet any students wishing to walk to school on Monday 17th through to Friday 21st at 8.30am.
Breakfast Club
Our Breakfast Club Program is free to attend and aims to provide a warm and welcoming space for ALL students when they arrive at school. We are open from 8.15am to 8.45am daily.
Please note that Breakfast Club is not open until 8.15am.
It’s been another huge term in our Breakfast Club space. We continue to see around 100 happy smiling faces enjoying a healthy start to the day. Some of our students enjoy a full breakfast while others are happy to pop in, say hello and grab a milo. We would like to thank the sponsors who kindly donate towards our program every week. We ask that you support these local businesses who support us. We would also like to thank our school community who keep us supplied with Milo, jam and fresh fruit from their own fruit trees.
If you have a business that would like to be part of our Breakfast Club Program please contact the school office.

STUDENT VOLUNTEERS
This term we have had the help of William and Owen from Grades 5 and 6 in our Breakfast Club. These two students have shown exceptional leadership within this role. William has been helping us most days this term with serving students Milos, letting us know when we need more toast or cheese toasties cooked and helping to clean up the space once we are finished. Owen has just started in his role and has been helping with cooking toast and cheese toasties as well as cleaning up. It has been a pleasure to have these two students join our Breakfast Club team this term.
FRESH FRUIT IN CLASSROOMS
Our first order from Foodbank will arrive on our first day back to school in Term 4. Fresh apples will be available in all classrooms for our students within the first week of school.
THE TRAF PANTRY
We have established The Traf Pantry to support families in our school community who may be in need of a little extra help. Whether it be on a weekly basis or a one off need, we are here to support you. All items are free to take and have been provided by Foodbank.
If you have any items you would like to contribute, please advise our lovely office staff.
Our Traf Pantry is located just past the school office. Shopping bags are provided. Our stock will be continually replenished so please only take what you need with each visit.

Game On Recycling
The sport equipment recycling will continue until March next year, so if you have any old equipment you need to discard bring it in.
Game On Recycling is a pilot program that aims to create a national recycling scheme for sports equipment. That means rather than being thrown into landfills, tennis balls, inflates (basketballs, volleyballs, soccer balls, etc) and snow sports equipment will be recycled.
Benefits of a sustainable approach to managing sporting goods include: reduction in the size of landfills, conserving natural resources, generating employment opportunities in the recycling sector and more.

Trafalgar High School has been listed as a collection point for used and damaged sporting goods to be recycled.
We have decided to join in by setting up a collection bin at our school for students and families to donate. So, if you have any old sporting equipment at home, bring it along to be recycled.
