Enrolments
Do you know, or have a child who will be starting in Foundation for 2023? Has your green enrolment form been handed to the office? Don't forget their Birth and Immunisation certificates if you have not already supplied them. Please remember to supply any other reports that will help us.
Foundation 2023 Transition times

Friday 18th November 10:30 am - 12:00pm
Tuesday 6th December 10:30 am - 12:00pm
2023 start date
2023 Foundation students will commence on Tuesday 31st January. Foundation students do not attend on Wednesdays until March.
CSEF
Do you have a health care card?
Please come to the office so we can assist you with the CSEF application form.
CSEF stands for Camps, Sports, and Excursion Funds. If you have current health care care, you may be eligible to apply for this fund. Payments from the Department can be used to assist with any Camp, Sports cost, or Excursion for the child on the card.
Transition tips and information
What you can do to assist and help this new experience as a family?
- Talk about different rules, such as road, family, and pick up, and how these might be different from childcare or kindergarten.
- Remind them that making friends can be tricky. Talk about what makes people friendly. It is another chance to learn a skill.
- Try and keep the same routine at home for mornings and evenings. Students can choose and pack certain snacks the night before. Develop a pattern that works for your family, encouraging independence.
Shoes, tops, and jackets.
Please name everything - there are over 500 students at Kalinda and this helps us get it back to you.
If it is special, do not bring it to school or take it in the playground ( unless it is for show and tell and will stay in the classroom )
Please practice tieing up shoe laces, or velcro. Look at left and right sides, or place a half sticker on the relevant side.
Because everything will be named - play spot your name.
