Principal's report

Mr Shaun McClare

Acknowledgement of Country

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung People of the Kulin nation; past, present and those who will walk with us into the future.

We acknowledge the rich and unique cultural and spiritual relationships to the land, waters and seas, educational practices and the hopes of all First Nations Peoples. We do this in the spirit of reconciliation as we move to a place of justice and partnership - together we work, learn, play and care for one another and this land.

Day for Daniel

Thank you so much to students, families, and our wonderful staff for participating in Day for Daniel last Friday.  Educating our students about their safety is incredibly important and our classes all had the opportunity to do this on Friday.

I am also incredibly grateful to our whole community for the money we raised at Kalinda to support this great organisation. We raised $592.20 for the Daniel Morcombe Foundation.

Junior Athletics Carnival

Well done to all our junior athletes last week who participated in our Junior Athletics Carnival. You made us so proud as you all did your very best in all the activities that were planned.

Athletics carnivals are a great opportunity to challenge yourself, aim to do your Personal Best, and support each other. It is wonderful to see the great community spirit and effort you all showed.

A big thank you to David Kight for organising the event, our junior teacher, ES staff members and parent volunteers who helped with the activities, and everyone who came along to support .

2023 Enrolments

For any families in our community with younger siblings planning to come to begin at Kalinda in 2023, we would ask that you please submit their enrolment form as soon as possible. This allows us to begin planning for 2023.
