Building Connections Community Night

Thank you to everyone who attended our Building Connections Community Night in Week 2. It was great to see so many families here enjoying the evening and building connections.  Please see the  Term 1 Planner below that was distributed on the evening.

Goal Setting Conferences

Goal Setting Conferences will be occurring with families and students during Weeks 5 and 6 of this term.

The purpose of these meetings is to co-construct goals with  students and their families and they will be guided by  Approaches to Learning references and self-reflection. These goals will run alongside ongoing, targeted goals set in class by students and/or staff which are regularly reviewed and updated.

As per usual, if families have queries regarding their child’s learning at any stage of the year, they are invited to make contact with staff.

Bookings for the meetings are available via the Sentral Parent Portal as outlined in the email distributed last Friday. If you are having any issues, please contact Vanessa in the office.

The portal will be open for bookings from Friday 15th February until 5pm Friday 22rd February.

Kiss and Drop Zone

A ‘Kiss and Drop’ zone is provided alongside Grallina Street and Malurus Avenue .

It is an expectation that drivers:

become stationary as close to the end of the drop off zone as possible

remain in their vehicle or if required to exit the vehicle, must not move further than 3m away from their vehicle

allow students to exit and enter the vehicle curbside only

continue to move forward, along the drop-off zone, at all times, as space becomes available when vehicles exit the zone

do not remain stationary for longer than 2 minutes at drop-off times from 8:30am and pick-up from 3:10pm

Do not queue along Malurus Avenue waiting to turn into the kiss and drop zone - please drive around the block.
