Dare to be yourself – Dare to be different!

This week’s focus is on being happy with who we are, and finding peace and courage in being true to ourselves. We don’t thrive when we are trying to be like others. Our most fulfilling life happens when we are being true to self. Here are some quotes that will help us consider this.

Do you have any quotes that help motivate you to be your best self? Let me know.

‘Growth Through Loss’ report:

On Friday 11 November, we provided a ‘Growth Through Loss’ day for students and families. Several students came throughout the morning, plus a parent. It was a beneficial time for those who attended. Comments included: 1] It was great. I had an amazing talk. 2] It made me feel calm. 3] So deep. Thanks. 4] Happy.

Some students used the craft items, including the pipe cleaners or the puzzle pieces. Most used the ‘I Remember’ sheet, to record memories of their loved family member or pet. This sheet is one of the many resources on Compass, as referred to in the Compass entry about the launch of ‘Josh’s Letting Go Story’, our special book with audio.

This was a special and important time, and I plan to run it again next year. However, if you ever need to talk about your grief journey, please feel free to contact me.

Please contact me via Compass, or at school, if you would like to discuss anything.
