Why Won’t They?
Why won’t they?
Why won’t they hear people’s cries beneath them?
Why won’t they lend a hand to the very people that made them?
Why won’t they use their money for a stable economy?
Why won’t they avoid the mistakes of history?
Why won’t they establish a good police force to keep the people safe?
Why won’t they stop the corruption of those who keep the country safe?
Why won’t they give money to the people so they can afford a t-shirt?
Why won’t they give them the right to vote and decide on their leader?
Why won’t they care enough so people can afford water?
Why won’t they care enough so people can afford a sweater in Winter?
Why won’t they pay attention to anything but their own power?
Why won’t they listen to the people and make their own country better?
Why won’t they believe the people about their problems now and then?
Why won’t they do something about the starving children?
Why won’t they put an end to the war of their own nation?
Why won’t they let kids have a stable education?
Why won’t they do something about the political unrest?
Why won’t they realize that they themselves caused this to manifest?
Why won’t they focus on the rights of the individuals that make the country greater?
Why won’t they do something about the lack of skilled labour?
Why won’t they avoid the mistakes of the people before them?
Why won’t they?

Freedom means…
Freedom means being able to speak,
For in this world, it’s rather unique
Freedom means being able to act
For in this world, it seems very cracked
Freedom means being able to live
For in this world, that’s not an easy ‘give’
Freedom means being able to move
For in this world, it disapproved
Freedom means being able to be treated fair
For In this world, it’s just warfare
Freedom means being able to smile
For in this world, it’s just not that type of lifestyle

I Dream of a World
I dream of a world where man
No other man will scorn,
Where love will bless the earth
And peace its paths adorn
I dream of a world where all
Will know sweet freedom's way,
Where greed no longer saps the soul
Nor avarice blights our day.
A world I dream of where black or white,
Whatever race you be,
Will share the bounties of the earth
And every man is free,
Where wretchedness will hang its head
And joy, like a pearl,
Attends the needs of all mankind-
Of such I dream, my world!

I live in a society
I live in a society,
Where anything I wear is too distracting for men
When will I ever be able to wear what I feel comfortable in?
I live in a society,
Where if I work two times more than men, I still get paid below average
What makes men so special?
I live in a society,
Where whenever I go out, I get cat-called by selfish, inconsiderate men
When will it ever stop?
I live in a society,
Where I must look a certain way to get accepted
Aren’t I beautiful the way I am?
I live in a society,
Where I encounter discrimination everywhere I go
Aren’t we all humans?
I live in a society,
Where I can’t peruse my education or dream
How is that fair?
I live in a society,
Where I don’t get to participate in political elections
Nothing is equal,
WE NEED THIS TO CHANGE!

If only we knew
If only we knew how lucky we are to be living in today’s generation
If only we knew how lucky we are to have unbiased information
If only we knew how lucky we are to have the people in our lives
If only we knew how lucky we are to still be alive
If only we knew how lucky we are to have an education
If only we knew how lucky we are to have adoration
If only we knew how lucky we are to go out and do what we want to do
If only we knew how lucky we are to have food to chew
If only we knew how lucky we are to have a voice
If only we knew how lucky we are to make a choice
If only we knew how lucky we are to be where we are today
If only we knew how lucky we are to be able to stay.

Indigenous Rights Matter
Indigenous rights matter if you are youthful or you are old
Indigenous rights matter if you are big or you are small
Indigenous rights matter if you are hopeless or you are optimistic
Indigenous rights matter if you are standing or you are walking
Indigenous rights matter if you are of any religion or you are not
Indigenous rights matter if you are creative or you are uninspired
Indigenous rights matter if you are kind or you are inconsiderate
Indigenous rights matter if you are positive or you are negative
Indigenous rights matter if you are confident or you are unconfident
Indigenous rights matter if you are dumb or you are smart
Indigenous rights matter if you are native or you are not
Indigenous rights matter if you are indigenous or you are not
Indigenous rights matter if you can talk or if you cannot

It doesn’t matter
It doesn’t matter if you are black or white
It doesn’t matter if you are Sunni or Shia
It doesn’t matter if you are rich or poor
It doesn’t matter if you fearful or you are bold
It doesn’t matter if you are a woman or a man
It doesn’t matter if you are young or old
It doesn’t matter if you are in a dictatorship or a democracy
It doesn’t matter if you live in the US or Afghanistan
It doesn’t matter if you are a student or a worker
It does matter if you grow a positive mindset about …
all the problems happening around you

Stop bullying if you are big or small.
Stop bullying if you are white or black.
Stop bullying if you are different from others.
Stop bullying if you are tough or weak.

We still get judged
We still get judged for the way we talk
We still get judged for the way we walk
We still get judged if our skirts are too long
We still get judged if our skirts are too short
We still get judged for the way we sing
We still get judged for the way we think
We still get judged for wearing makeup
We still get judged for “letting ourselves go”
We still get judged for the clothes we wear
We still get judged for being fair
We still get judged for the way we eat
We still get judged for the way we breathe
So when won’t we be judged?
