With the removal of the road barriers from the school driveway last Thursday afternoon, the students will now be using the new walkway located at the back of the school only, to enter and leave the school premises when walking or riding their bicycles to or from school. The back gate located near the school canteen is now officially opened.
It is important that the students and members of the school community do not walk along the car line driveway. Students are reminded not to walk or ride over the new garden areas.
Parents are reminded not to use the school office car park to drop off or pick up students at arrival or dismissal times.
Only students in Years 4 - 6 are permitted to ride their bicycle to and from school after having completed a bike permission form and attending a safety induction.
Bicycles will now be stored in a designated area outside Keller Hall. New bicycle racks have been installed. Students are to walk their bicycles to and from this location across the playground to access the back gate.
Semester Two student reports will be sent out to parents at the end of Week Nine, Friday 9th December via the school based web system COMPASS. Parents of Year Six students are reminded to print and save a copy of their child’s report before the end of the year as their profile data is not transferred to their high school.
Parents, this is a special time for you to praise the efforts of your child for the school year. The level of effort a child puts into their work is important to acknowledge in addition to the level of performance grade awarded. Praise this where appropriate. Comparative tables for grades Year 1 - Year 6 will be available from the office.
Parents if you require an interview in regard to your child’s report please contact your class teacher via email to organise a suitable time.
Students are reminded to wear their school hats daily, especially with the warmer weather we are experiencing. Our school policy is ‘no hat no play’ and no participation in a sports lesson. Correct sports socks are also to be worn with black or white sports shoes.
