Family and Faith

News from our Family Educator - Ms Tracey Bowler

November is the Month of Holy Souls.

During this month we remember and pray for people who have died. It’s a wonderful time to share stories of family members who have passed.

Eternal rest grant to them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Family Mass

Everyone is invited to the next Family Mass on  Saturday 26 November at 5.30pm.

At this Mass, we will welcome our 2023 Kindy families with Year 5 families leading us in prayer. The 2023 kindy children will receive a special Prayer Space Prayer Pack which contains symbols of our faith (including a Prayer Stone made by Year 5 students) allowing them to set up their very own prayer space at home.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation

Congratulations to all the students who received the Sacrament of Penance for the first time last week. May this be the beginning of a lifelong journey of healing and reconciliation and an opportunity to further develop a loving relationship with God.

Celebrating Christ the King Day this Sunday 20th November!

The readings for the Solemnity of Christ the King Year C focus on the kingship of Jesus Christ, who is not a king like the rulers of this world. In the first reading, David is anointed as the king of Israel. In the second reading, Paul tells us that we are going to share in the inheritance of Jesus Christ. Wishing you happy times sharing stories and memories when remembering the people in our lives who have gone to God.
