Positive Climate for Learning Update

RECENT MOBILE DEVICE BLITZ

This week the school conducted a mobile device blitz on Monday and Tuesday, to ensure that students were not using phones or air pods during school time, unless specifically directed to by a staff member. It was pleasing to see that the vast majority of students at Epping Secondary are respectful of this policy and requirement. This was also a very useful exercise in ensuring students continue with this for the remainder of this year and have a positive start to 2023. Parents and carers support of this is greatly appreciated.

UNIFORM REVIEW

All current levels have now participated in focus groups to gain feedback about our current school uniform. Many suggestions and ideas were brought forward and have been documented for the school’s next School Council meeting for discussion. Following this the school will look at options for any changes to uniform that students will be able to vote on in 2023. We look forward to continuing with this process, keeping parents and carers up to date, and seeking their input in the coming months.
