CHIEF MINISTER'S READING CHALLENGE

One week to go! Reading records for  the Chief Minister's Reading Challenge are due back to Mrs. Bevan in the Library by Friday 19 August. All students who complete the challenge by reading 12 books in 24 weeks will receive a personal certificate from the NT Chief Minister.

JUMP ROPE FOR HEART

Jump Rope for Heart is well underway, with our final Jump Off day to be held on Wednesday 24th August. It’s great to see so many children practicing their skipping and getting involved in the fundraising for the Heart Foundation. Keep up the great efforts and if you haven’t signed your child up yet, it's not too late! www.jumprope.org.au/parents

It’s Jump Rope for Hearts 40th Birthday and to celebrate they are hoping to reach 40,000 skipping hours by the end of the year. We need your help! Let’s aim to have as many students jump online and record their minutes this term.

BOOK WEEK

Book Week will be happening in Week 6, 22-26 August. The theme for this year is 'Dreaming with eyes open.' The library will have some great activities for students throughout the week.

On Friday 26 August students are encouraged to dress up as a character from a book. Parents and carers are invited to attend assembly at 9:30am on the day, which will be followed by a costume parade, then a picnic with their child/ren. Our amazing Library Monitors will have carts of books for families to read together during the picnic.

BUNNINGS BBQ

Head down to Bunnings on Saturday 27 August and grab a sausage and drink from the Year 6 students and parents as they fundraise for the Year 6 trip to Canberra. The barbecue will be running from 9.00am to 4.00pm. Gluten free and vegetarian options will be available. See you there! They will also be having barbecues on the following Saturdays: 17 September and 22 October.

CANTEEN

The Canteen is now operating every day for Break 1 and 2 (please note the canteen will be closed Friday 19 August for the day). To order download the School24 app and use School ID: 25137963. Please make sure to update your child's class in their profile before ordering. Orders will need to be placed by 8.00am on the day. Our new menu, including daily specials, is attached below.
