GUYS AND DOLLS

In the lead up to the opening night of the production Guys & Dolls, some of our cast (Charlie Hall, Sam Martin and Toby Gough) visited the ABC Central West studios in Orange to give a taste test of what to expect. Check out their performance of the song “Guys and Dolls”.

Guys & Dolls is a musical romantic comedy involving the unlikeliest of Manhattan pairings: a high-rolling gambler and a puritanical missionary, a showgirl dreaming of the straight-and-narrow and a crap game manager who is anything but. Don’t miss out on your chance to see this funny, colourful, and memorable performance and support the talented cast, crew and orchestra. Information about tickets can be found on the Orange Civic Theatre website!

See you there!

MUSIC FESTIVAL

Our wonderful ensembles and Year 12 musicians entertained an appreciative audience on Thursday 9 June at the  Senior School Music Festival, which featured repertoire from classical to jazz and contemporary.  They were treated to an evening of outstanding performances from concert band, orchestra, stage band, string orchestra, choirs, strings and wind chamber ensembles, chapel band and soloists in a relaxed cabaret atmosphere. Our sincere thanks to all those who contributed to this successful evening.  Bravo to our wonderful musicians!

ORANGE WINTER JAZZ FESTIVAL

Stage Band played to an enthusiastic and vocal audience in a packed venue at the Winter Jazz Festival on 10 June.  Students played an hour set featuring a range of jazz styles from trad jazz to Latin and funk.  Audience members commented on the high standard of our musicians; our students were fabulous ambassadors for Kinross Wolaroi and staff were super proud of their efforts.
