Eucalyptus House

Hi everyone, my name is Shukriya and I am the Year 10 SRC in Eucalyptus. 

During Term 2, the SRC team in Eucalyptus had run a series of tournaments that have turned out successfully each time. We are planning and soon running more exciting events that will run in the house to support the students' engagement and to increase attendance. 

We had previously run a teacher vs student dodgeball tournament. Despite the fact that a lot of the teachers were busy, we had the SRC and the HLT come up with another alternative which worked out better than expected.

In Term 1, Eucalyptus House participated in a swimming carnival and were placed 3rd. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter because having fun and having the opportunity to participate is what the students in Eucalyptus want. 

In Term 3, the SRC team are planning on running events that support the students by having movies of their choice running in the House every Friday when everyone is worn out and tired. We have loads of ideas for cultural week too. In Week 8, we are going to start running charity events, which will run each week. We hope to earn more for countries in need. This term is going to be busy for all of us.
