Banksia House

Hello fellow Banksians! I am Faiza, the Year 10 SRC for Banksia.

Banksia has had a great start to Term 3. Our team have been organising and holding events to donate for our charity, ‘Song Room’. This term, we held a gold coin donation teachers vs students dodgeball competition. I am proud how many people showed up to have some fun! Since it was such a success, we have been considering it to be a weekly event, so be on the lookout for announcements.

We have also been selling lollipops for 50c twice a week, Mondays and Thursdays and have raised lots of money. We will be carrying this out for the rest of the year. We are also selling lollipops during Banksia’s Friday lunchtime movies, which is a fun activity where students can stay warm inside and eat their lunches and lollipops with friends. 

In the next week or two, we are going to be selling noodles along with our lollipops and they will be sold in front of Banksia. We will be finalising our decisions this week and will soon be releasing information, so stay tuned!

Our goals for the rest of the year are holding more competitions and House activities. We will all be looking forward to seeing everyone participating in these events.
